NAIPIThe OmicsLogic BioMMED Virtual Summer Training Programs for students and faculties in NAIPI-affiliated universities commenced on 15th June 2022. The programs are offered jointly by the National Association of IDeA Principal Investigators, the Louisiana Biomedical Research Network, and Pine Biotech.

  • The online mentor-guided programs are designed to introduce participants from a diverse range of backgrounds from undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral candidates to clinicians and professors to the world of computational biology. The programs adopt a project-based learning approach with technical support and mentor guidance. The OmicsLogic BioMMED Virtual Summer Training Programs are offered mainly in four areas:
  1. The Bioinformatics for Infectious Diseases Program which commenced on June 15, 2022, is designed to introduce participants to the applications of bioinformatics in infectious disease research and host-pathogen interaction.
  2. The Transcriptomics for Chronic Disease Program which commenced on June 16, 2022, is designed to help the participants master the application of NGS RNA Bulk and Single-Cell Sequencing Data Analysis in translational research.
  3. The Biomedical Data Analysis in R and Python which commenced on June 17, 2022, is designed for participants who want to get started with their journey in bioinformatics using R and Python programming languages.
  4. The Summer Research Fellowship Program is designed to help young researchers and students take advantage of the bioinformatics resources for the analysis of complex life science data.
