Job Description:

Converse University invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Psychology within the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the assistant professor level to begin in August 2024. The positions are for a Clinical or Counseling Psychologist and an Experimental Psychologist. Successful candidates will offer classes within their specialty as well as core classes for the major. For the Experimental position, candidates with animal laboratory experience will receive extra consideration. The teaching load is typically three courses per semester, plus one course in January term. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the university’s general education program, advising students, continued professional development, supervising student research, and providing service to the department, university, and professional community.

Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in Psychology by August 15, 2024. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting, as well as a commitment to inclusive excellence, and provide evidence of excellence in teaching and research potential. Selected candidates must complete a background check that is satisfactory to the university and be qualified to teach in the US.
