Omics Logic Introduction to Bioinformatics is an online training program that is designed for absolute beginners, including students who don’t have any background in bioinformatics. The program is designed to provide a soft landing into the world of bioinformatics for life science students or researchers and provide them with an overview of topics related to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis.

In this program, you will be introduced to various Omics data types, such as Genomics, Transcriptomics, Metagenomics and Epigenomics. You will see how data is generated and analyzed in the context of basic and translational biological studies. We will also review public repositories where omics data can be found.

There we will use examples to understand the various file formats, ways they are prepared for analysis and how they are analyzed to see the application of bioinformatics across life sciences.

All of the analysis will be performed in a user-friendly online environment with minimal requirements for technical skills. Software like MS Excel, as well as online environments for R, Python and the T-Bioinfo online platform will be used for hands-on illustration.
