DESCRIPTION:Louisiana Biomedical Research Network is pleased to announce 9th Annual Louisiana Conference on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics will be held from April 21 – 23\, 2022 Virtually.  \nThe conference aims to expose Louisiana to the cutting edge of Computational Biology\, Bioinformatics Research\, and Applications while also providing a platform for the exchange of information and technical knowledge among Louisiana-based scientists involved in different aspects of computational biology & bioinformatics. \nThe conference is co-sponsored by the Louisiana Biomedical Research Network (LBRN)\, the Center for Preclinical Cancer Research\, and the LSU Center for Computation and Technology (CCT). \nThis is an open meeting\, and all are welcome to register. Registration is free\, and we invite the Computational Biologists\, Bioinformaticians\, and Biomedical researchers with interests in Bioinformatics from all over Louisiana and the entire IDeA community to register for the meeting. All IDeA community\, Faculty\, Graduate\, and Undergraduate students are encouraged to submit a related abstract for oral/poster presentation. \nWe will choose a limited number of abstracts for oral presentation. \nWe would also like to welcome the entire IDeA community to register for this virtual meeting. SUMMARY:20th LBRN Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Each year the LBRN program has an annual meeting in which program participants\, committee members\, and administrators meet to review individual research accomplishments and to discuss the overall program activity. Summer research faculty and graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to present their LBRN sponsored research\, and talks are scheduled to highlight sponsored research projects from partnered campuses across the state. \nLast Date for registration: January 7\, 2022 \nPlease save the date for January 28-29\, 2022 as we plan our upcoming 20th! Annual Meeting. We’re carefully considering the current pandemic situation as we plan our upcoming meeting. \nThis year’s meeting is being held on January 28-29\, 2022\, the format is still being determined. \nOral Presenters: Full Project PIs\, INBRE / COBRE Collaboration Supplemental Project PIs\, LBRN Maternal Health Supplemental Project PIs\, LBRN Graduate Students (Flash talks)\, and invited guests. \nPoster Sessions: All projects currently funded by the LBRN and Summer Graduate students are required to submit an abstract to participate in the poster session. LBRN Undergraduate Summer students and all biomedical researchers within the state of Louisiana are also expected to submit abstracts. DESCRIPTION:LBRN was established in September 2001 with Biomedical Research Infrastructure Networks (BRIN) funding by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)\, through the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) Grant P20RR016456\, the LBRN is committed to raising the research competitiveness of Louisiana researchers. IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) is the second phase of the BRIN Program when LBRN initially started. Currently\, LBRN is in the third phase with continued funding by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) Grant 8P20GM103424 and the Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund. \nThe Louisiana Biomedical Research Network offers a limited number of grants and research programs to which qualified researchers may apply.
