The Center for Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (CMCB) is hosting a series of 10 seminars with top university scientists, sponsored by Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE). Our last seminar in the series will feature Dr. Vincent Starai via Zoom.
Dr. Starai is an associate professor at the University of Georgia. His seminar is titled, “Wolbachia Pipientis Disrupts Eukaryotic Actin and Endomembrane Dynamics.”
Dr. Starai’s laboratory has great interest in investigating the biochemistry of eukaryotic membrane fusion, identifying and biochemically characterizing bacterial effectors capable of modulating membrane fusion, and finally analyzing these activities within the context of pathogenesis.
If you have questions about this Zoom seminar, contact Josie Dunson.
