The Center for Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (CMCB) is hosting a series of 10 seminars with top university scientists, sponsored by Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE), Our eigth seminar in the series will feature Dr. Charley Barlowe.
Dr. Barlowe works as Professor and Chair of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. His seminar is titled, “Coat–Dependent Sorting and Quality Control in the Early Secretory Pathway.”
His research program is focused on defining the mechanisms that catalyze protein transport through the early secretory pathway. His lab currently has great interest on the mechanisms of protein transport between the ER and Golgi complex.
