Job Summary |
For this project, we are seeking to hire a full-time research staff member that will be primarily based in Morehead, Kentucky. The project involves conducting research surveys and interviews with people who use drugs and other key members of the community, as well as building relationships with community stakeholders. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) conducting outreach to recruit participants, screening people for eligibility, scheduling and conducting in-person and phone-based interviews and focus groups with individuals who use drugs and other community members, conducting rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing (oral or finger stick) after becoming trained and state certified, convening and engaging an advisory board to guide the project, and assisting with the implementation of harm reduction activities. The goal of these efforts is to better understand substance use and related harms in rural Kentucky and to inform programs and interventions to reduce those harms.
