A Biostatistician position is available in the Department of Physiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in New Orleans. The successful candidate will analyze and provide statistical interpretations of research findings in complex experimental and survey design studies of the Comprehensive Alcohol Research Center under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
The Biostatistician will provide assistance for data organization, check for integrity and validity, merging, and extracting data from electronic databases, writing advanced SAS, and developing summaries of research findings. They will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators with summarization, analysis, visualization and organization of data for publication and assist with preparation of grant applications. The position requires a high level of organization and reliability, flexible hours, intrinsic motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
