Dr. David C. Brousseau is an established investigator who is the PI for The Delaware Comprehensive Sickle Cell Research Center Association, Nemours Children’s Health announced today that David C. Brousseau, MD, MS, will join the organization in March 2023 as Chair of Pediatrics at Nemours Children’s and at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Brousseau will serve as the physician leader for excellence across all academic pillars including clinical care, educating the next generation of physicians, and advancing the scholarship and research program growth to improve children’s health.Working with the Delaware Valley leadership team, he will also set the strategic direction to promote clinical growth and partnerships across the Delaware Valley. In addition, Dr. Brousseau will collaborate across departments and with hospital leadership to facilitate continuous improvement in quality and safety with a focus on outcomes. “Nemours Children’s Health is thrilled to welcome Dr. Brousseau and benefit from his vast clinical and research experience,” said Mary Lee, MD, Enterprise Chief Physician Executive and Chief Scientific Officer at Nemours Children’s Health. “Dr. Brousseau’s research focused on improving disparities in access to care for children with sickle cell disease is in keeping with our continued commitment to health, value and equity.
