Lexical Intelligence provides software and services related to processing large-scale biomedical information sources. Our NLP and analytics software is used by policy and decision-makers to evaluate and prioritize current and emerging areas of research.
We are looking for a Scientific Analyst to work for a federal client in Bethesda, MD. The analyst will perform a variety of quantitative and qualitative analysis activities involved in the curation, collection, organization, analysis, preparation, and processing of large volumes of scientific information. Experience conducting data analyses using analytics software is required. The analyst shall be process oriented, and able to work well within a team of analysts, data scientists, and software developers. Applicants selected will be subject to a pre-employment background and reference check.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates with the team to create analytical project plans; seeks approval from a supervisor or the client as necessary
Collects and cleans data from various scientific resources then applies analytical methods and tools to identify trends and relationships
Uses creative solutions as needed
Prepares and presents clear and accurate reports and presentations
Documents all data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting
Maintains a high level of ownership and see assignments through to completion based on agreed upon deadlines

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
- Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, or other fields such as Public Health, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or Economics
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance
- US work authorization
Preferred qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, or other fields such as Public Health, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or Economics
- Experience working with NIH (or other agency) program, policy, or review
- Independent worker with strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management experience or qualifications
