Stephen Wonderlich, Ph.D., is the Chester Fritz Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and Director of Clinical Research at the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute.
He is also Chairperson of the Eating Disorder Department at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. Past president of the Academy for Eating Disorders, he is a recipient of the Leadership Award in Research from the Academy for Eating Disorders and the Price Family Award for Research Excellence from the National Eating Disorders Association.
Dr. Stephen Wonderlich’s research interests include the development of new treatments for individuals with eating disorders and the identification of factors that either maintain or increase the risk for eating disorders. Widely published, he serves on several journal editorial boards and has written or edited seven books.
He is also working as Principal Investigator of Center for Biobehavioral Mechanisms of Eating Behavior COBRE, North Dakota
