Dr. Martin Schiller received a B.A. from Hofstra University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Utah State University after postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Maryland College Park and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

He was a fellow and eventually appointed to the faculty at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Schiller has served as a faculty member at the University of Connecticut Health Center and is now a full professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His work is focused on short functional peptides, bioinformatics, and HIV.

Schiller’s research has resulted in 60 publications supported mostly by 12 research grants from the NIH. He has received a number of awards, produced a suite of bioinformatics tools, and is involved in the commercialization of some of his research projects.

He is now the Executive Director of the Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine.
